Snatched Victims - Are you one too?
Below is my facebook forum from IZ EFT group on helping snatch thief victims using EFT or Emotional Freedom Techniques (http://www.eftwonder.com/).
She had been traumatised.
How do you help someone like her?
What are the core issues and emotional traumas to address?
What EFT method would you use?
What type of pain is she experiencing and will EFT help?

Lets hear from all of you and your own experience as a victim or practitioner. She lost much more than her handbag and rm.30. She lost her dignity, self-esteem, security, sleep and now filled with fear, guilt, anxiety, insomnia, pain, violated... I want to help all victims and teach them how to 'snatch back' what they lost with EFT.
Give your answers and diagnosis and I will show you how to help others like her.
The next EFT gathering will introduce this healing program mainly for the ladies call "Snatch It Back!'.
If you have heard of victims of snatch thieves or robberies you can invite them at our watering hole -Papa Rich restaurant.
Let us work together on this project for all the victims. Give me your feedback.

Hi all ,
Thank you Isaac for presenting us with these challenges.
I would start with asking her current level of anxiety, and tap till it goes down to zero.
I would also do a movie technique with her to get her to recall the incident and tap along.
The thought of petrol station, car, policeman, police station may trigger anxiety and that will be something to tap on too.
Then I may get her to talk a bit and see if I can pick up any beliefs, truths or table tops that she might have.
These writings on the walls may be the reason she is attracting misfortunes.
If she does have, I will ask her to recall any incidents that support the beliefs and tap on those events.
Hopefully we can get as many events for her to eliminate and remove the table top.

Isaac Lim -Hi Shaliza,
Thank you for your response to my questions on this snatch case. Your diagnosis of this case and approach to helping her are very good and correct. I am happy with your assessment of her case as it shows you are a capable EFT practitioner and therapist.
I would like to draw your attention to 2 other emotional aspect that may need to be processed.
a) She mention how she though she was going to die and she found strenght to break free when she thought of her children who need her. This new belief form out of trauma may change her behaviour towards her children to being over protective. She may have the fear of her children losing her and may now be reluctant to leave them. Check on this.
b) She mention pain during the night that cause her to cry and lose sleep. We need to address this issue. Her physical pain is likely 70% emotional and addressing this with movie technique as you mention will reduce it and help her sleep. I suspect she is stuck in the fight state and that was the reason she could not stop talking which made the police officer to lose patience with her. She is likely hypervigilant and that can cause insomnia. Her internal alarm cannot stop ringing. This again will affect her behaviour later on unless it is removed.
I had a recent client with a knife wound that is 10 years old and the scar is still painful especially on rainy days. After only one session I saw her the following week and asked her about it. She was surprised that there was no more pain . Her scar now has sensation when touch and the skin more relax as it now has wrinkles when before it was shiny and tight! This snatch thief victim will find her wound healing faster after EFT.
I am collating your response to form a 'Snatch it Back' workshop to help victims of snatch thieves and robbery. It is more of a community project. If any NGO woman's groups are interested to organise one I would be happy to support them.

How TO Be A Hero In Case Of A Robbery

How To Be A Hero In Case Of A Robbery.
It was a warm afternoon when Mr DIY (that's what I like to be known) tried to screw on an over priced door bell button on the outside wall of my office. A visitor who was also a doctor exited through my gate and noticing my labourious effort asked if vandals might get to my doorbell (I wish some people will keep their opinions to themselves). As he walked away a motorbike approached and the pinion rider jump down waving a 'parang' machete. He placed it at the doctors throat and demanded his wallet. The doctor was so terrified that he fell down and tried to shield himself with his hands. The robber was getting impatient and was threatening to chop him. I quickly jump forward (think superman indestructible) and shouted don't chop and told the doctor to quickly hand over his wallet (does that make me an accomplice?). The robber grabbed it and suddenly it dawn on me that I would be the next target. I took wings (not superman but chicken little)and closed the gate behind me and the robber seeing this jump on to the waiting motorbike and sped off.
It was a traumatic experience but it ended with no serious injury. On hind sight I realised that by being a hero intervening while holding only a 10cm screwdriver was really foolish as the robber was holding a 90cm machete! (Talk about size does count). I also felt like a coward because I abandon the doctor and fled behind the gate. It was like from hero to zero! Using EFT I had to tapped on being a foolish hero and a clever coward after all I could have been chopped up and robbed.
I offered to do EFT therapy on the traumatised doctor but he said he was OK. I know he is NOT but why argue. He was more worried about his lost documents. The next day he could only limp as one of his knee had become painfully swollen due to a twisted knee. His adrenaline rush had pumped enough endorphine for him not to feel pain but the next day was a different story as his hormones settled down. His knee will probably recover in 2 weeks but I have a feeling the trauma of being rob at machete point will not. I could also help him recover from his knee injury much faster with Qigong but being a western train doctor he is probably ignorant and sceptical- too bad for him. I know there are many robbery and snatch thief victims out there who will certainly benefit from EFT-Emotional Freedom Techniques. If you are one of them do visit http://www.eftwonder.com/.

Sexual Abuse - Don't Ignore It.

Sexual abuse is a terrible experience and traumatic especially for a defenceless child. It emotionally and psychologically scars the victim for the rest of her life. I recently helped a victim removed her scars after 40 years living with it. The scars was not so much the horror of the predator's action or face as she did not understand what was happening as a six year old but the inaction of the mother and loved ones! Yes not doing anything to help will cause more hideous scars than the predators can inflict. The sense of not being loved or cared for, the sense of being betrayed by someone who is supposed to protect you, the feelings of being so insignificant that people don't bother when you cry for help. This is what will stick to their minds and being. It will affect their decisions and colour their perception of people for the rest of their lives.
Using EFT http://www.eftwonder.com/ I had been able to remove the scars which others had considered non- existent because it was not visible to the untrained. Emotional scars continue to cause pain. We think it is buried and gone and time will heal but emotions are energy and energy in physics cannot be destroyed only change from one form to another or transferred. Unless one knows how to process negative emotions it will remain stuck in certain parts of the body and cause psychosomatic dis-ease. EFT gently and quickly process it without drugs. My patient only needed 2 sessions to find permanent relief. There are so many more who continue to suffer silently from past traumas not knowing what to do and who to turn to. I know their fears and their laughter ring hollow because they are only used to cover and hide their true emotional state-their pain.
WARNING - If your child ever tells you about physical abuse often poorly explained and expressed do listen and not set it aside as just imaginations because you may unintentionally scar your child more than the predator ever could.
